Note: These Community Guidelines explain the rules of StrangerLine in plain language. They exist to make the platform genuinely safe and enjoyable for every person who uses it. Violating these guidelines results in enforcement action under our structured reporting and consequence system.

1. Who These Apply To

These guidelines apply to every person using StrangerLine — as a guest or registered user, from any country, on any device, in any session type. By using StrangerLine in any capacity, you agree to follow these guidelines.

2. Non-Negotiable Rules — Immediate Permanent Ban

The following are absolute violations on StrangerLine. They result in an immediate, permanent ban without warning, and in most cases involve mandatory reporting to law enforcement. These rules cannot be appealed or negotiated.

2.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — Zero Tolerance

The production, sharing, solicitation, requesting, or distribution of CSAM is absolutely prohibited with no exceptions. This includes photographic, video, AI-generated, drawn, illustrated, or animated sexual content depicting minors, as well as voice or text content that sexually describes minors.

StrangerLine uses Cloudflare's automated CSAM detection technology. If a match is detected, the transfer is immediately blocked, the session is suspended, data is preserved, and a mandatory report is filed with NCMEC under US federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).

2.2 Minors Must Not Use This Platform

StrangerLine is strictly for users aged 18 and above. Adults who use StrangerLine to contact, communicate with, solicit, groom, or attempt to arrange a meeting with a person who is or appears to be under 18 will be immediately and permanently banned and reported to law enforcement.

2.3 Non-Consensual Intimate Content

You must never send sexual images, videos, or audio to a user who has not explicitly consented; expose yourself sexually without affirmative consent; or share, distribute, or threaten to share intimate images or recordings without consent.

2.4 Threats of Violence

Making credible threats of violence against any person or group is prohibited and will result in immediate permanent ban and may result in law enforcement notification.

3. What Is Not Acceptable — Enforced Under the 3-4-5 System

The following behaviors are serious violations that will result in escalating consequences:

Harassment and Abuse

Repeatedly targeting, insulting, or degrading another user
Continued unwanted contact after a user has expressed disinterest or disconnected
Threats, intimidation, or attempts to frighten or coerce another user
Targeting users based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability

Deception and Impersonation

Pretending to be another real person, including a StrangerLine staff member or moderator
Systematically misrepresenting your identity, age, or intentions in order to deceive or harm another user

Spam and Commercial Misuse

Sending the same or substantially similar messages to multiple users
Advertising products, services, or external platforms
Attempting to recruit users to external platforms without their interest
Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with users or the platform

Privacy Violations

Sharing another user's personal information without their consent (doxxing)
Recording another user's voice, video, or image without their explicit consent

Platform Manipulation

Attempting to bypass a ban by creating a new account, using a VPN, or other means
Submitting false or malicious reports against another user
Coordinating with others to report a user for retaliatory or bad-faith reasons

4. Respectful Behavior — What We Expect

StrangerLine connects strangers. The basic standard of conduct is simple: treat the person you are talking to as a person.

✓ Be polite and respectful, even if you disagree
✓ Respect when someone declines to continue a conversation — disconnect without argument
✓ Accept that people have different backgrounds, opinions, and comfort levels
✓ Use platform tools (report, block, disconnect) rather than escalating conflicts

5. Enforcement

We operate a structured enforcement system:

3 reports from different users in 30 days triggers a formal review
4 confirmed violations result in a temporary ban
5 confirmed violations result in a permanent ban
Absolute violations (Section 2) result in an immediate permanent ban regardless of prior history

6. Reporting

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, use the in-platform report button. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 48 hours. You can also email support@strangerline.io for serious concerns.

7. Updates

These guidelines may be updated as the platform evolves. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines.
